Education
Veterinary
Dr. Kevin Isakow grew up on a farm in South Africa and graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1994 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science.
Internship
After spending 2 years in private practice in South Africa and England he began an internship at Purdue University (Indiana, USA) where he furthered his training in small animal medicine and surgery.
Surgical Specialization
His surgical training program took him to the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, where he completed a small animal surgery internship and residency and also earned his Master of Veterinary Science degree.
Experience
Practice
Academic Practice
Dr. Isakow spent the next year on the surgical staff at the Ontario Veterinary College and also successfully completed his surgery board exams in 2002 thus becoming a member of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
Private Practice
Dr. Isakow has practiced as a specialist small animal surgeon in private practice since 2002.
Associations and Honours
He has numerous publications and has given lectures at the annual American College of Veterinary Surgeons Conference, Toronto Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Georgian Bay Veterinary Association and was a guest on Newstalk 1010.
In 2005 Dr. Isakow was honoured with the title of Adjunct Professor by the Ontario Veterinary College.
