Low Level Laser Therapy
What is it?
Laser therapy is the use of light energy or photons to affect underlying tissues.
How does it work?
Photons are the energy particles that are emitted by light. The number of photons, the wavelength and the color of the light will determine the interaction of the laser with the underlying tissues.
Low level lasers result in energy being transmitted directly to target cells. This energy influences individual cells and can change their level of activity. This change in cellular activity can be utilized for decreasing inflammation and pain and thereby improving healing and mobility.
